The buildings and grounds of MacDonell Children’s Services are some of the most interesting and beautiful around. We are bordered to the west by the Intracoastal Waterway, a 3,000 mile route stretching from New Jersey to Texas, and to the north by Bayou Terrebonne. Our campus is home to ancient oaks, vibrant azaleas and buildings listing on the National Historic Register.
While located directly on the main thoroughfare of East Main Street, getting here is a bit circuitous since the removal of the old drawbridge that connected east to west. We are now in the shadows of the twin span bridges that begin just north of Terrebonne General Medical Center and end at the foot of Grand Caillou Road.
